Health check

All clear
  • One loop through all 65 players still in
  • Every elimination code is different
  • No clock has run out unnoticed
  • Every score adds up

Worth a look

  • 65 players haven't opened the game since it started: Alex Rivera, Grace Kaur, Dev Kowalski, Sofia Haddad, Omar Patel, Ava Petrov, and more. They don't know their target or their code, so whoever hunts them can't score. Nudge them, send them a sign-in link, or disqualify them in Players before the clocks start.

Pause the game

Freezes every clock and puts eliminations on hold; a Purge that hasn't started waits too. For an outage, exams or a holiday. Resuming gives everyone exactly the time they had left.

Reset every clock

Everyone still in gets the full 72 hours from now. Fair after an outage you couldn't pause for.

Deal new targets

A fresh random loop. Elimination codes and clocks stay. For when friends keep landing on each other, or targets got shared.

Late sign-ups

Latecomers join with code RK4TQX and slot into the loop with a full clock. Never during the Purge.

Call off the Purge

Nothing scheduled. Schedule it from the Overview.

Backups

The roster spreadsheet has every player’s target, hunter, elimination code and clock: enough to referee by hand if the site ever went down. Download one before big moments, like the start and the Purge. Keep it private; it has everyone’s codes.

If something goes wrong

Checkpoint day

Overview → Checkpoint → Award. The section with the most points since the last checkpoint gets 24 extra hours on every player's clock. Then post the twist the eliminated players voted for; it shows on every player's screen until you change or clear it.

An elimination was reported by mistake, or you overturn one

Players → Out → ⋯ on the player → Bring back. Their eliminator loses the point (and any bounty) and is hunting them again; they get a fresh clock and a new elimination code, so the old one can't be re-entered.

Someone can't give their code (dead phone, no signal)

Players → ⋯ on the eliminated player → Credit elimination to hunter. In the Purge, use Credit someone else and pick who made it.

An elimination came in just after the eliminator's clock ran out

The app refuses it, since the clock ran out first. If you rule it counts: Bring back the eliminator, then Credit someone else on the eliminated player and pick the eliminator.

An elimination code got out

Players → ⋯ → New elimination code. The old code stops working at once; the player sees the new one on their screen.

The site is down, or everyone needs a break (exams, a holiday)

Pause the game. Clocks freeze, eliminations wait, and a Purge that hasn't started moves back. Resume gives everyone exactly the time they had left.

The site was down and you couldn't pause

Bring back anyone who timed out during the outage (Players → Out, newest first), then Reset every clock if that's fairer.

The game ended by accident, or everyone timed out

Reopen the game from this page. If fewer than two are still in, bring players back from Players; the game restarts as soon as two are in.

Targets look wrong, or the health check flags a problem

Press Repair in the health check. Most players keep their target; the rest get a new one and are told to check their screens.

An offensive code name, or a typo in a name

Players → ⋯ → Edit details.

Someone wants in after the start

Open late sign-ups, have them join with the game code, then close it again. They slot into the loop with a full clock.

The website is completely down

Referee from your latest roster spreadsheet: it has every target and elimination code. Settle eliminations by hand in the group chat, then, once the site is back, match it up with Bring back and Credit elimination, and Reset every clock.
